Biography
Jeff Johnston, MD, is the Chief Medical Examiner and Department Director for the Maricopa County Office of the Medical Examiner, a position he has held since 2013. He is Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology and Forensic Pathology and has been performing medical examiner duties since 2002.
The Maricopa County Office of the Medical Examiner provides statutory forensic medical death investigations for deaths under certain circumstances that occur anywhere in the county; approximately 6,000 deaths are investigated annually by the Office of the Medical Examiner.
