Biography
As a Phoenix native, Amber Wang, MD, used her post graduate training as a time to gain experience in other cities before returning to serve the population of Maricopa County as a Medical Examiner and forensic neuropathologist.
Dr. Wang received her medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine- Phoenix. She completed a combined Anatomic Pathology residency and Neuropathology fellowship program at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, followed by a Forensic Pathology fellowship at the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner’s Office in Miami, Florida.
In addition to her specific interest in forensic neuropathology, Dr. Wang is passionate about teaching and creating awareness and realistic perceptions of her specialty among the public, students, and residents.
In her spare time, Dr. Wang enjoys spending time with her husband (whom she met in medical school and who is also now clinical faculty in the Department of Neurology) and her dog, hiking, traveling and baking.
