Biography

Dr. Askari has been in private practice since 1991. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular medicine. He received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science from the University of Nevada-Reno and his M.D. from the World University Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.

He did his internship and residency in internal medicine, and his cardiology fellowship, at St. Luke’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Askari has many institutional, departmental, and division responsibilities as well as holds prestigious memberships in the Cardiovascular and Thoracic, Cath Lab, and Quality Assurance committees at Phoenix Memorial Hospital, and the Executive Medical Committee, Cath Lab, Cardiology, and Fellowship committees at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.

He is an active medical staff member at Phoenix Regional Medical Center, St. Luke’s Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, and Payson Regional Hospital as well. Dr. Askari is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, and member of the American College of Cardiology, American Medical Association, American Society of Internal Medicine, and Arizona Medical Association. He has established clinics in rural Arizona neighborhoods and communities such as South Mountain, Quartzsite, Payson, and Prescott. Dr. Askari is originally from Iran.
